Here are my top tips:

• Opt for soft pastel colors for a fresh and vibrant look. Spring/Summer is the perfect time to explore these hues. Even if your session is in the fall, plan ahead to find the perfect dress.
• If you love patterns, choose larger ones to avoid overwhelming your photos. Small patterns can create a chaotic look.
• Keep your accessories minimal for a clean and focused outcome.

Men’s Picks

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… my husband wears the exact same thing to every single one of our photo sessions – khakis and a soft white or blue shirt (depending on our color pallet).

If your man prefers to do his own shopping, these are my top 4 tips:

• Soft, neutral colors are the best choice to compliment a light and airy style

• A soft t-shirt or henley paired with light wash jeans, khakis, or even a light color jogger are a great option.

• Solid shades of light gray, light blue, white, off white, and khaki are great compliments to most momma’s outfits.

• Stay away from pinstripes, graphics, and large logos.

Girl’s Picks

When it comes to styling your littles, I always suggest picking moms outfit first and letting everything flow from there.

I know my littles love to pick what they want to wear so I always offer 2-3 outfits that compliment our chosen style for them to pick from.

If opting for patterns, I suggest only 1-2 members of the family wear a patterned piece so keep this in mind when picking out options for your children.

Linen and cotton dresses photograph beautifully. If you’re daughter is small enough to have dad throw her up in the air, don’t forget the bloomers 🙂
